Not a runner? Not to worry!

Many of the entrants (most?) choose to participate in the non-competitive category; they walk, or walk-jog, or bring a baby stroller, or whatever.

Others run. Some even run the proverbial balls to the wall.

But it will be fun, however you choose to participate (and we've collected the perfect playlist for you).

Now in its 38th year, the Selma Railroad Run is the oldest continuous road race in Johnston County (and possibly in North Carolina). In 2014, the event had over 100 entrants. The men's winning time was 16:50; the women's winning time was 19:25.

The 5K Run is a USATF-sanctioned and certified race (no timing for the Fun Walk). Here's the course...
