Traveling with Roxy

Trip notes of Molly and Rick with Roxy, our Kodiak Express 172E travel trailer. [blogpost1-Today-s-the-Day|Click Here] to start from the beginning... or here Here are a few of our most recent adventures:

Cedar Point

Monday March 21, 2022

It was a windy, stormy drive in, but we made it!

The Cedar Point campground at Croatan Forest is just on the the sound side of the beach. We arrived a bit later than we planned, filled up the water tank (sites are electric-only) and proceeded to find our spot: paved and level... and backed in on the first try!

Saturday was perfect weather for hiking. We explored the trails (but #aprilSapir "noped" the bridges) around the marsh, then spent the rest of the day napping.

I had to make some minor repairs to the bottom of Roxy (there's nothing that duct tape can't fix! But it was really a peaceful, non-eventful trip — just what we love (and needed to recharge our batteries)

At home, we tried backing in from the other direction. Except for accidentally pulling the trailer's emergency brake, it went pretty well. I think we may be on to something!
