There's no better way to recharge, then with a lake-front, mid-week trip to a new campground. Although we've been to Jordan Lake before, this was our first time at Poplar Point. And avoiding the weekend rush, meant we could snag a water-front spot.
We arrived late Wednesday afternoon, set up Roxy, and began a whole lot of nothing! Dinner was gnocchi with chicken sausage — something new for us. We sat, enjoying the sunset and did very little else! Basically, the entire Thursday was spent relaxing. Rick spent some time in the water (on our raft, the SS Rhymes with Paper) but we really did little else, it was a very restful trip.
And we returned home late on Friday afternoon... and still had an entire weekend of lounging at home. We may be on to something with mid-week trips....
