Despite all the Covid stuff, 2021 is shaping up to be a good camping year for us! This weekend we visited Jones Lake State Park with Angela and Lily. After a truly flawless back-in (and later, an equally impressive back-in at home), we made camp and began to enjoy the weekend.
The weather was mostly cool and overcast, and yet Rick still managed to sunburn his head during the afternoon hike to Salters Lake. Meals were impressive: personal jambalaya, dutch oven lasagna, and open-fire mac-n-cheese!
One piece of sad news, though... our Coleman canopy was the victim of high winds. Several of the arms snapped and we had to trash it. Oh well, something new to add to the "must buy" list!
