This was a small, municipal campground on the Cashie River, in Windosor NC. It reminded me a bit of the Neuseway trip. The campground was nice enough (with full hookups) and there was a short trail to see the tree houses, but not much else.
We arrived on Saturday, after lunch and quickly made camp. We relaxed outside (no hammock trees this time) and played cornhole while April chased the beanbags. Dinner was iron pies in the fire. We did enjoy the nice river-walk along the river in Windsor!
We decided to leave on Sunday morning — because our new car was ready for pickup!
It turned out to be a short (but sweet) trip. Next time, we'll bring kyaks!
