Sycamore Lodge is a "members only" RV resort. We sat through a tour and in return (although we did not purchase the $10,000 membership) we received 21 days of "free" camping.
Three sets of 7-night stays.
Non-negotiable.
Take 'em or leave 'em.
So... we took two.
April made fast friends with another Pittie, Layla. Layla's "granma" was basically a full-timer. With two bad knees. It was actually a little sad.
BUT!!!
Rick managed to salvage things using a well-appointed screwdriver. He's pretty smart!
And, we forewent the potluck supper in favor of steak medallions, spicy sauteed veggies, and mac-and-cheese — a proud (for me) moment in Camping Cousine.
Weather? Rainy. But who cares?
I really, really, REALLY wanted to hate this place.
But I loved it!
Pffffft.
